Type 2 first st. Book
This book celebrates my hometown, offering a unique blend of historical insights while highlighting the typography along First Street in Livermore, California. The overall design is inspired by editorial magazine spreads. It was heavily focused on experimenting with the manipulation of the photos but also allowing the typography in the pictures to stand out.
The town had a lot of sans-serif types, so I chose to stick a sans-serif type to keep it consistent, allowing ease when transitioning from image to image.
The color schemes are inspired by grape harvesting and wine production in Livermore. The microclimate of Livermore became known in 1984 as a perfect place to grow grapes for wine, including Cabernet, Sémillon, and Sauvignon Blanc.
